You seem rather bored/pissed/in awe, huh?
is a flat-out joke for me. I’m data entry. And I actually work here on Mondays and get paid for doing the exact same thing as my mentorship. Which is data entry slash occasional tech support. Oh, and the two ladies who work here bring in food quite often, so I’m not hungry. Life is smooth, life is…
You’re probably going to hate me for this, but I’m reblogging my opinion to you. >:)
A. Mentorship is good while its lazy - its better than actually doing anything like making presentations. Besides pretty much all of the senior classes are lazy. Nothing happens in EDD, and CADD is over. Enjoy the peace while it lasts, ‘cause college is going to make your life hell.
B. Tumblr is probably being misinterpreted as another twitter but with no character limit. You don’t have to get mad at responses lest you want no responses whatsoever. If you want more than just an opinion (which is ridiculous since that’s the entire point of this), try treating tumblr like a newspaper that you’re writing instead of another “status update fest”. For example, be descriptive and focus on one subject at a time. Writing in a manner that demands smarter answers will make committing to a blog worthwhile.
C. Shame on me, as I have never heard of Doctorow, but judging by his name alone he seems like a smart guy. DRM is also on my bad side, so that’s a plus. And I’d offer a better opinion of his work, but i”ll need to read it first…or buy an audiobook.
Have fun with the mentorship/diversity/literature. Whichever is more important.
